Ask for and secure the next step and appointment.
If you have asked for the order and you could not close. It is vitally important that you ask for for the next step in the meeting process as well as set the agreed upon action item (s). for that meeting.
Never leave a meeting with an open ended "We will get back to you." "We have to think it over." Theses are stalls
that will kill the momentum of your sales process and your sales career.
By setting the action items and the appointment before you leave. You now are in a much better position to close an opportunity. When you meet with the prospect, recap the hot points of your proposal. Make sure you are getting agreement along the way. Isolate and overcome the objection then close the sale. ASK for the order. The prospect is expecting you to ask for the order so just do it!
